Oh, Gracious! by Chautona Havig

Life is too short to settle for just anyone.

Chautona Havig, is a blessing to the Christian writing community, 2020 Mentor of the Year nominee for ACFW, developmental editor at Celebrate Lit, and now talking about the pulse in Christian Fiction with her podcast channel #becausefiction

Chautona has a awesome radio voice, and you've just got to listen to her contagious laugh. Classic!

Chautona is an author of too many books for me to count, but you can find them all on her Amazon Author Page, so let's look at her latest release, Oh, Gracious!

Grace gave her whole heart to Jesus, but now he wants a part of it. What's a woman to do?

All she ever wanted was to be a homemaker.

Sure, she has a degree in physics. Yes, she could have a lucrative job in Rockland, but Grace Buscher enjoys her life as a single homemaker. As they say, it’s her choice.

As a successful business owner, a handsome guy, and heir to a small fortune, it’s no wonder Nolan Burke is one of Rockland’s most eligible bachelors. The problem is, he hasn’t met anyone who isn’t looking for a “trophy husband.”

Don’t family-centered women exist anymore?

Grace isn’t exactly eye candy. Nolan is a bit blind. So when an “accidental meeting” forges an unlikely friendship, it becomes obvious to everyone that it’s likely to become more.

But is Grace ready to give up the life she loves for the man she loves?

My thoughts, from Lisa Renee:

From the get go, Nolan is an admirable character. An upstanding, young Christian man that you'd want to marry off to your daughter. When various women are nearly throwing themselves at him, he wonders, "What is wrong with the world? Why is every woman I meet like a female masher?"

For some Christian men, this is what they think. We have a family friend, who has model looks and has tried dating, even in the churches, and women are enticing him to compromise his purity. And they don't believe he hasn't been with a woman before. So, I agree with Nolan's statement, "What is wrong with the world?"

Chautona's love for Jesus and life, shines through the story. With vivid settings, powerful internal dialogue, clever characters, you'll find "Oh, Gracious!" an easy and enjoyable read. Be inspired and entertained at the same time.
